Ornate Metal Plate


DESCRIPTION
Two ornate silver-plated dishes with scalloped, baroque-inspired edges and soft oval interiors. Likely used historically as serving or vanity trays, they display dramatically contrasting finishes, one heavily patinated with green oxidation, the other unexpectedly preserved with a mirror-bright surface. A rare pair that appears to have been stacked for decades, sold individually.
Sourced in California. Marked “International Silver Co” on underside of the polished one.


CONDITION
One plate features heavy verdigris and surface wear consistent with long-term oxidation, while the other remains remarkably untouched. Both show minor scuffs and marks from age and storage. Sold individually.
